We bought this for our 12X15 computer room.I smoke and it is the only room in the house where this is allowable.No filters to replace, whisper quiet on low setting and the air stays fresh.This unit is an ozone ionizer - this does not produce a harmful 'gas', (as suggested in a previous review.)Dust and smoke is trapped in the electrically charged metal fins of the main filter and the dispelled air molecules are altered by the current - much like the air after a freshening rain storm.
There is a pre-filter which traps larger particles.It can be cleaned with water.The main filter can be vacuumed clean.If it becomes too dirty you can soak it in soapy water.
No replacement of filters is needed !Hi speed creates a mild humming but in this smaller room we always have it set on low.
We are completely satisfied with this product.
