PUNATI CHEMICAL CORP 50516 15OZ Rain Deodorizer Review

PUNATI CHEMICAL CORP 50516 15OZ Rain DeodorizerI set a jar of this down next to the litter box. It was 90F today and nobody was home, but when I got back, even though the litter box had been used there was no odor. At all. I clean the box every day (once in the morning, once at night), I've tried litter box deodorant powder, I've tried leaving a box of open baking soda out - you name it. It's still nigh impossible to keep it from smelling when used on a hot day. But this manages it.

I've seen people complaining that the smell of the deodorant is too subdued, but that's exactly what I want. I don't want it to smell like a bottle of Febreeze exploded. I'd rather have no odor at all, and apparently they make such a version, but this is restrained enough for me.

That said, the shipping is rather steep if you buy it here. But it does work.

RE cats - Chemicals found in common petro based "fragrance" products such as Febreeze or deodorizers are extremely toxic to cats (humans as well) as cats do not have the liver enzyme system to detoxify fragrance products (even natural ones)...

I use a corn based cat litter (clumping dust can harden in lungs) and change it frequently with baking soda IN the liter (mix it in)... never ever smells. I see you change yours often as well and you can try adding (mixing in a small bit) of baking soda in the litter.

As well, the smellier stool means the diet is not the best (healthy diets mean little to no stool smell). Most pet foods today are horrific - and for instance for cats full of carbohydrates which is not natural for them. (they do consume permitted seeds, grains, grasses so on in the guts of prey they eat but these have not been cooked - kills enzymes).

I feed all my rescues, greens, and raw meats (grass fed organic) (chicken again Bells Evans quality - cut and dunked in boiling water for a wee bit) plus Wysong products and all regained health from sad stories to live full vital lives.... no rough stool smell.

I have a back ground in biochemistry (pre vet/zoology and ocean studies) holistic medicine (mom was in AMA medicine so I grew up reading medical books but diverged into holistic) and decades of arts chemistry but ended up near dead due to these chemicals (and recovered after many years to functionality)

Many are extremely toxic and by law the companies are not required to disclose what is in them.

when I called Punati in attempts to find the original one (no chemicals that harm - act enzymatically) I explained my disability and the manager stated for me to not buy any of their products due to them having "fragrance" ie based on petro products (ie oil derivatives) and it would not be safe for me.

Rather to use the original one - although I do not think it is the same after they changed.

Not safe for me not safe for any cat.
