I set a jar of this down next to the litter box. It was 90F today and nobody was home, but when I got back, even though the litter box had been used there was no odor. At all. I clean the box every day (once in the morning, once at night), I've tried litter box deodorant powder, I've tried leaving a box of open baking soda out - you name it. It's still nigh impossible to keep it from smelling when used on a hot day. But this manages it.

I've seen people complaining that the smell of the deodorant is too subdued, but that's exactly what I want. I don't want it to smell like a bottle of Febreeze exploded. I'd rather have no odor at all, and apparently they make such a version, but this is restrained enough for me.

That said, the shipping is rather steep if you buy it here. But it does work.

I bought this due to my allergies. I run it on turbo when im not at home and med in the room I sleep in. I fully intend on getting another one for the downstairs. It has an odor sensor and remote control. I can tell a difference in the air quality and I have to dust less. The 3 types of filters are prefilter, true hepa filter and plasmawave technology which means it kills bacteria and viruses with an electromagnetic field. I was happy to get such a nice volume filtration unit at a low price. It is light and fairly slim and really pumps the air through.

Pretty simple, it's supposed to eliminate odor, it does not. My dog peed on my carpet, i soaked as much up as I could, sprayed this stuff on LIBERALLY waited over night. Still smells very strongly of urine. Doesn't work for pee, I don't know about other stuff. Apparently Nature's Miracle makes about a million different odor eliminators, this one is the bottom rung product, I am going to exchange it for their strongest stuff that gets highly rated.

I first became familiar with this product when I was caring for
anill relative. My nursing days are over, but I still use Smells Begone for every bad smell-to remove the smell of cooked onions, musty closet,stinky sneakers, you name it & this product gets rid of it. It
doesn't mask the smell with another- it just makes it disappear !
My only complaint is that it's hard to find in stores in my area. Everyone should sell this stuff.

Highly recommend these marble-sized balls of natural citrus oils; they also come in lemon. The plastic housing for the replacement filter disintergrates when washed. When the filter dries, it becomes very hard. This is ineffective as the dial on the humidifier registers that this new replacement needs changing and this filter needs constant changing. The new extra replacement filters (2) that were purchased 6 weeks ago have almost doubled in price since that purchase. The humidifier should be sold with multiple filters and now becomes a bad investment. We do not recommend this purchase.

I'd like to get another one of these, but it is way overpriced (as I think ALL air purifiers are).The company I work for was going to become a distributor for this product, so I got one at manufacturers rep cost 3 years ago, and put it in my daughter's room, who suffers from mild to moderate seasonal allergies.It has run almost constantly for those 3 years and flawlessly too I might add.And her allergies have improved.She doesn't wake up in the morning congested and wheezing like she had. When in auto mode you can hear the fan ramp up briefly when the load get heavy in the room.We moved it for awhile to another room in the house, and the amber lights showed how "dirty" the air was, and we watched as the air improved and the lights turned to green. It is quiet.She keeps in in "small room" mode at night when she sleeps. right next to the bed, and it is extremely quiet.Even when the fan is running at higher speed, it is still very quiet.I'd buy another one, but not at the prices I have seen them advertised.But it is a great product.

This is the second Prozone air purifier I've had now, the last of which I bought just one month ago.Both units have had the fan fail prematurly.The one I just bought is already making a high pitched whine. I checked on replacing the fan on the first one.The manufacturer wanted $45 to replace the fan, so I cracked open the case and checked the fan.It's a $3 Chinese unit!No wonder they fail so quickly.My solution was to put a table top fan behind the air purifier to distribute the air and keep the unit cool, and that actually worked better that the unit's fan.The fan does not have to work for the unit to produce ozone.

On the plus side, these units do work well as an air purifier and oder remover.I've used it in an 800 sq.ft. basement and it has keep it from smelling musty when the dehumidifier is off.Putting one in a walk-in closet for only 15 minutes will freshen it right up. The only down side is that they can smell quite strongly of ozone, especially when new.Eventually the UV emitter will burn out, and it does become weaker over time, so that the amount of purification lessens as the unit ages.

If you buy one of these units, count on the fan going out, and quickly.You either have to send the unit back constantly, replace the fan yourself or use and external fan.The manufacturer obviously isn't addressing their product defect issue.

The smell that many people were whining about is not bad at all. I don't even smell it. My girlfriend said she could smell it just barely, but not enough to actually think about it. This new version of Michel Design Works Pomegranate Home Diffuser is just awful! It arrived leaking, with the outer plastic seal broken broken with a piece missing, the stopper out of position, no reeds, the decorative box covered inside with large splashes of the leaked product, the bottle obviously tampered with, NO reeds, only the stiff plastic that would have surrounded the missing reeds, the band around the neck of the bottle falling off from being soaked, and the fragrance...weak, weak, weak. The outer packaging was perfect, and appeared to be an original product defect, not the fault of amazon. I was disappointed, and most annoyed. amazon graciously did arrange a total credit for me, and because it is glass, fragrance, and leaking, said to not even ship it back.
I originally purchased this in a square glass bottle at a shop,when this was first introduced.
It was fabulous! The fragrance, the frosted glass bottle, and the reeds combined to release and add a subtle but noticeable scent to any room. It was DELIGHTFUL, not overpowering, and more unusual that most standard diffusers. (So many on the market now, and mass market, are really really terrible.) At $ 30.00, the product is reasonable, although not even close to the Anthousa collection, for example, ranging in price from $ 60.00-$ 90.00 at fine stores.)
Even though I get to keep the bottle that arrived in such poor condition, it is worthless. The liquid is so diluted that the scent is negligible. I used the reeds from the original bottle, and I think that they are the only reason for any scent. The new bottle is cheap looking, but most important, the contents are of very weak, poor quality.

the space guard seal kit is required for the Aprilaire unit that I have in my home. It is a real hassle to install although the steps are straightforward. You will need some adhesive spray to stick the filter to the door and a scraper to remove the old filter and adhesive from the door. In that regard, Aprilaire made a big mistake in the product design. Why not develop something that already has adhesive on it, or provide the spray? Removal of the old filter is such a pain, but if you want a clean air filter, you have no choice since there's really no other product that can be used. Be ready for what should be a 5 minute project to take an hour (including trip to hardware store for spray).

I bought this air purifier because it's reasonable in price and I like the tower design, which doesn't take up a lot of space.One thing I like about it is the optional ionizer.Most towers are ionic air purifiers, but I wanted a filter because I'm concerned about the ozone that the ionizers create as a byproduct.The noise on low is alright; it's tolerable, but I wouldn't want to sleep with it on medium or high because it's too noisy.I've only had it about a week and I think the air smells cleaner and I've stopped sneezing at home.I am seriously considering buying another one to put downstairs.Overall at the price I paid (about $70), so far I'm satisfied.

I got 2 of these to use with my Hooneywell enviracaire 11520 the other day and they work great! It is awesome since they're less than 1/2 the price of the 21500 (and the 22500 I was using this for the 17400), so though I was buying the 2 HRF-14s to replace one 21500 HEPA filter, I still saved about 10 bucks!

HRF-14 is Honeywell's new Universal replacement true HEPA filter. The box contains one true HEPA fileter and one foam gasket (I just throw this away since it isn't needed for the 11520). The chart on the insert indicates that it fits the following models of air purifiers (number of filters required follows model number): 11520 (2), 12520 (2), 13520 (3), 17200 (2), 18159 (2), 17400 (2), 50150 (2), 50200 (2), 50250 (3), 50300 (4), 50310 (4). Some of these setups also use the included foam gaskets to pad the filters to the right size, (but you never need more gaskets than filters so you don't need to worry about that when purchasing).

Useage is really easy. you stack them up, putting the gasket(s) on top as needed, wrap them with the prefilters just as you do with the old filters. Then you close up the air purifier and are breathing clean air once again!

Replacement policy is the same as it was for the non-universal filters... The HEPA filter should remain effective 3-5 years for light usage, 2-3 years for normal and 1 year for heavy usage.

This is my first air purifier but I am very pleased even though I have nothing to compare it to.
I am a smoker and my wife is not but I no longer have to open the door when I smoke I just sit near the purifier and we are both happy, lol,
Also I live in Las Vegas such a dusty city in the deset and our apartment is so much cleaner now. I see the filter and have cleaned it once not because I had to just a personal preference.
some may say there is noisy on high but really it is not bad, low and medium there is no sound at all. I just keep it on high because I smoke.
I had a hard time choosing which model to buy but gladdid not rush and picked this one. no filters to replace ionizer if I want, osilating if I want, I am very please would recommend it to anyone.

If this thing worked as intended, it would be great.However, the heating functionality was designed terribly.When in heating mode, the fan/air filter shuts off along with the heating element when the temperature hits the set temperature.Therefore, the air stops circulating and the temperature sensor thinks the temperature is much warmer than it actually is in the room.It takes FOREVER for the temperature of the sensor to come back down to reflect the room temperature.If the air filter motor continued to run in heating mode after the set temperature had been reached, this product would be much better.As it is, it is totally useless as a heater.I don't see how anyone designing/testing this product would not notice this.

This air purifier does work as advertised, just not for very long.

It recieved light use and had never been damaged, dropped or subjected to heavy air purification.It was on a bookshelf in a nonsmoking living room.

I purchased mine new from a dealer and it did work for 6 months.I returned it and they replaced it with a new one.At 11 months it died again.I was charged $20.00 to have it "looked at."It was replaced once again.At 14 months it died again.And, yes, I was charged another $20.00 for the "look."They told me that it would need to be replaced, but was out of warranty.The estimate for repair was $175.00.Needless to say, it went into the trash.What a waste of money.

I contacted themanufacturer's Customer Service Department twice and never recieved a response.I wrote to the President of the company. . . you guessed it, no response.

If you are considering buying an air purifier, I would reccommend another more reputable manufacturer.

I have been using my unit for 1 year now, and it still works well.I have had no trouble with the remote unit, and find that its sensor triggers the unit to ramp up the speed appropriately when I'm broiling steaks in the adjacent kitchen.I am happy with the unit's performance; however, be aware that the unit takes 3 carbon pre-filters, and 3 HEPA filters.

The only multi-packs for replacements that I have seen (produced by Bionaire) are 4 packs for the pre-filters and 2-packs for the HEPA.Accordingly, you need to buy one more carbon filter than you need, and 1 more HEPA filter than you need too (as long as you remember to purchase two packs of the HEPA).The filters are costly, and the bizarre quantity issues with how Bionaire sells the filters may require you to become a math guru (taking into account that you change the pre-filters more often than the HEPA filters, you will need to do some math to see what your needs will be for the year and order appropriately).

All in all - a good unit, but don't forget. . . the company sticks it to ya with the filters.

I purchased this item through amazon and received it promptly. However it only worked for about 30 minutes and then it just stopped. My guess is that this company sells reconditioned products! I contacted the compay that I purchased through Allergy Be Gone in Brooklyn NY. I was told to return the item, but when I went to return it they said that the return authorization number was expired (it was only good for 15 days and that is NOT stated on the return form. Very bad company to do buisness with. Now I am stuck with a broken $200.00 unit. Steer clear of this compny as no one there will take your phone calls!!!! Poor product, Poor company!!!

Pros: very good fan motor, silent and good filter capacity.
Cons: the filter check indicator did not work well since 4th month and the manufacturer want me to send it in at my expense to have issue resolved. The fan works as desired thus i will live with the error light.
Other down side filters cost $160 to replace.

The Harmony Air Purifier has turned out to be a great little workhorse of a machine!I have dogs and this machine does a great job of removing their dust, hair and dander from the air.The only problem I have is the noise.The Harmony is not loud, but it is noticeable.Filter replacement is easy.Filter costs can add up.The recommended replacement on the Hepa filter was 12-18mos, but I needed to replace after 8 months of hard use.Overall I reccomend it.Good Quality, Great Price.

This unit is easy to set up, compact and great buy. As is the same with other Eureka products, it has the problem of air coming out IN FRONT and blowing the dust away though, suction is great and much less noise compared to my old Dirt Devil Jaguar. As it is still a week since I started using this unit, I cannot mention anything about durability, but I have an impression this one is manufactured and made up well from its structure. This compact and light weight unit is ideal as a second vacuum cleaner, and also could be used as the single unit for a family living in an apartment with great suction and easy handling, I suppose. The air blowing out in front is the only, and not a small issue so I rate one star less than five.

Ionic Pro 90WA2000BA01 PurePro WA200 Professional Air Purifier, Graphite Review

I bought the Pure Pro with great expectaions and in the first month was pleasantly surprised. Owning a similar, but older and more expensive Oreck XL Signature model, I was impressed by the much amount of dust and dirt that the Pure Pro pulled in over a one month period.Considerably more effective than my particular Oreck model, as there is a much larger collection plate area in the Pure Pro. There is a newer Oreck that I believe would be much more effective. Other positives about the Pure Pro is that the machine is very quiet in the silent mode, is wall mountable, and supposedly can have its collection plates cleaned in a dishwasher.

Now the bad news.This machine seems to have some history of failure as reported through other customer reviews.Mine failed in the second month despite allowing 48 hours to thoroughly dry the washed collection plates.Actually my unit appeared to fail before being cleaned or washed. The manual only specifies 4 hours to dry, although this appears to be a misprint, as Customer Service specifies a 24 hour wait before reinsertion.The manual incidentally contains other inaccuracies such as keeping the unit 12 inches from the wall even though it can be wall mounted and has brackets for that very purpose.

Things do break down and fail even when they are brand new.This is what a warranty is for.But when I contacted Pure Pro's Customer Service, which is apparently not based in the US, the gentleman while quickly agreeing that I had a defective unit, informed me that I would have to pay to ship the unit back ($18) and that they have to charge me a handling/shipping fee ($30)to send a new one back to me.So, so far in the last 4 months I will have spent about $78 in shipping and handling fees.Its a good thing it takes them 6 weeks to get a unit to me, otherwise I don't think I could afford the one year waranty period.

I just received this package from Amazon after my post a few days ago.

Some of the bottles leaked during shipping (and I was missing a bottle), and the ones that leaked - the plastic caps had "melted" onto the bottle.Yes, melted.The plastic was gooey soft and malleable.When I bought my bottles from Whole Foods, if I didn't use the whole bottle in a short period of time I noticed before that the caps appeared to have melted on the inside, where the pump sprayer pointed.But I didn't think it was the air freshener liquid itself.I read the ingredients and I didn't see anything that I thought would react to plastic to this extreme degree.So I brushed it off.

But after receiving the 12 pack and having the plastic all gooey and melted to the bottles, there IS something in this air freshener that causes plastic to melt and disintegrate.

Use with caution.Myself, I think I'll go back to mixing my own essential oils in spite of how wonderful this aroma is.

And I can't seem to change my five star review to a 3 star review.

I bought a 4.4 oz. bottle of the Citrus Scent air freshener from Whole Foods, for just about $6.00 per bottle.So Amazon's price for a 12 pack isn't bad at all.

This citrus scent is absolutely wonderful.It has a very natural scent, not the usual chemical-smelling, artificial aroma one typically gets in most store bought sprays.The scent is rather strong but not over powering, which means it'll last a little while after it's sprayed.It has a distinct, predominantly orange smell, with hints of lemon and lime.The Citrus Scent also has some strong base notes than compliment the citrus aromas perfectly.Though it's not listed as an ingredient, I swear I almost smell a tad bit of vanilla when I first spray it.The strong base notes are a perfect compliment with the sweet orange, lemon and lime top notes.

The nice thing about this brand is that it comes in a screw top plastic bottle.I bought a fan driven air freshener - the kind with the jar of scented oil and a wick, and poured the contents of the 4.4 oz. bottle into the air freshener jar and used this instead of the scent that came with the air freshener.Now I get this scent all through the day throughout the living room.

(I mix my own essential oils for my bedroom, with a night time blend of Jasmine absolute, Ylang Ylang and Lavender - no carrier oil, and spray it on my pillow).

Mostly though, this is the most natural smelling scent I've ever bought.And believe me, I've bought a lot!I'm very discriminating when it comes to aromas, and this product has earned it's five stars.If you don't want to take the time to mix your own essential oils, you will not be disappointed with this.

I *highly* recommend this product.

I've owned this Bionaire purifier for about 8 months and so far I have no complaints. This month the red check light went on which I assumed was to replace the filter. Filter replacement was very easy. Amazon sells the filters for $25 for a two pack which is a really good deal. I noticed nose stuffiness and allergy symptoms reduced within a month after I owned the product. It quickly removes smoke and other bad smells. I enjoy the 3 settings although I mostly use the medium and high settings. Some people are picky about noise but the medium setting is just a quiet hum and of course the high setting is a little louder but I find it useful for blocking out outside noise anyway. Overall, I think this is a good product for the price.

We all know this product is the catch to the very reasonably priced Swiffer Wet-Jet mop.If you've ever tried to remove the lid, you've noticed that it is nigh impossible to remove without breaking it.

It's the standard "razor and blades" business model and it works very well for Proctor and Gamble (creator of the Swiffer line of products).Unfortunately, this business model produces a ton of waste and this refill product is one of the worst ones I've seen.

Well, here's how to stick it to the man!

Take that empty bottle and put the white cap in a vice (or alternatively some hand held pliers). Tighten it a little bit at a time until the bottle just twists/pulls right off!At the bottom of the cap there are 4 or 5 small barbs and all you're doing is bending it so that they no longer catch.Other than those barbs, it's just like any other threaded cap.Now all you have to do is simply remove the barbs and you've got a reusable Swiffer Wet-Jet bottle!My Dremel got the job done in a few seconds but you can use a razor blade.

I refill mine with just soapy water and a small amount of bleach and it works great!

I had purchased one of these units for my kids some years ago and it worked great. SO I ordered another unit recently.

The new unit has a terrible noxious smell coming from the guts of the unit when turned on - seems like the plastic in the HEPA filter or motor oil in the electric motor. After running it a few days with no change I returned this unit and recieved a new one with the same problem. I also talked to the manufacturer, KAZ, since it seemed like they got a bad batch of filters.They were willing to provide a new unit if I paid for the shipping. The status of this unit is still unresolved.

I would not recomend this unit to anyone unless you can tolerate thesmell of noxious organic materials - such organic vapors could even be carcinogenic.

I wanted this last year for christmas, I did not get it. I saw it in a Walgreens ad this year, and thought about it again. We bought one tonight.
This system works by a plastic piece that comes down from the top and "swirls" the water around and pulls it kinda like a fan and tornado all in one. The "swirling" tornado affect causes the water to drip around the sides like rain. Air is pulled in through one side on the top, circulates through the water and then comes back out the other side. Once the air goes through the water the water is suppose to remove odors and odor causing bacteria in the air.
The system comes with 3 scents, vanilla, lime, and citrus. I typically like vanilla scent, but after putting it in the system it reminded me of a unpleasant smelling vanilla cleaning product! I also feel that the citrus might be the same. The lime seems like it might be o.k., but have not tried it yet. They definatly need to work on better smelling scents. Luckily, I own and use aromatherapy oils, and decided to try some in this, and although they do not last super long, they smell great and do not seem to affect the system, so it looks like I will be using them instead.
Brethe adds humidity to the air, you can feel it, and it also seems to cool the air in the room some. It also does seem to clean the air and make it smell good. Plus if you like a "night" light, there is a option to have the water alluminated. I partially also wanted this because I sleep better with some white noise, I would say the white noise from the is equal to a fan being on low to medium, not real heavy, but noticable.
It seems very easy to clean, the top silver part easily lifts right off of the base, there is a handle on the base where you put the water in, and you just sit the top part aside and fill the bottom, it fits in our bathroom sink which is nice, and makes it easy to fill! It does not have alot of parts so less to worry about breaking, and cleaning.
All in all a great, simple machine, with several perks, does what it says, like I mentioned before, my only big complaint is the scents, if they work on those, this little system would be excellent!

Austin Air Plus and the Superblend - running everyday for two years, three years and beyond in several different homes (we own 6 units)and they work. This unit is not whisper quiet but on low it will remind you of white noise piped in at your office and is not bad. Medium and High fan speeds will move the air and can clear a sudden problem. These units have been effective in negating carpets that have had too much cleaning with that dry powder,chem-dry type of carpet cleaner that never comes all the way out of the carpet and later on causes the "lung slime" problems. They offset the dust and pollen blowing in from the road and storms and seasonal build-ups, they stop the stink of the dog and the cat box, they eliminate that stinky feet smell from an old bedroom and catch the cloud of insecticide that the neighbor's pest control man hoses around the yard. Any wonder these units were at ground-zero? Heavy use of the unit may result in need for replacement filters - which although they should last 5-years - sometime only go 1 or 2-years before they start blowing a funky smell (my sign it's time to change). Replacement filters are expensive at $200 to $250, representing half the cost of new unit. The switches on a few units that had lots of back and forth switching have stopped working properly but can be sent in for warranty work. Steel case and casters is a plus for this heavyweight.

I loved this machine, bought it esp. because it was recommended for multiple pet households and we have 4 cats (long and short hair) and a dog. It works fantastic on bare floors and carpets, not so well on rugs, since the beater bar is driven by suction only. "Pet paw" was a little small, but overall it really cleaned the place, because the suction is GREAT! Because it is really small it was also real easy to carry it up and down our steps, also loved that the attachments are not fixed in position down by the floor so you can not bump them and they fall off as other vacuums have it. I did not buy the product here, but I ended up returning it to the company because the canister is a little small for our house. I needed to clean too often and it is a pretty messy business to clean the HEPA filter (which I now understand is typical for canister vacuums), hence I decided to rather replace bags with a lot less mess. Whoever does not mind that...it works fantastic for what I expected!

I purchased this unit at a significant discount from an aforementioned deal-a-day web site. I think it is worth the price I paid for it (sub-$50), but no more. I'm a cheap-skate, too, so take that into consideration.

I don't know if I would call it a "purifier" as much as I would a "very good filter."I keep my FAP02 in our computer room, which also serves as the litter-box room. The kitty litter we use is very dusty, and this filter really cuts down on dust in the room. (Note: "cuts down," not "elimninates.") It's also very good at picking up cat hair. Our unit sits right next to the litter box, though, and the room is only 120 sq ft.

At low speed, it's quieter than my PC. At medium, it has a hum to it, but it sounds more like air coming through an air duct in a house. High speed is fairly loud. Our unit runs at medium 80% of the time, low 15% of the time, and the other 5% is high when I'm changing/adding kitty litter. With few exceptions, it has been running non-stop for 10 months.

The other thing to consider is the cost of replacement filters. I cannot find them at any of our three area nationwide discount retail-"marts", so I have to order mine online. No big deal because Amazon usually has them in stock, but each filter is about $20 and last for approximately 2-3 months. As stated earlier, I've had my unit for 10 months, and I am about 1 month in on my 4th filter. Doing the math, it's a filter every 3 months and about $7 dollars per month for filters. The unit does display flashing lights that turn red when it's time to change the filter. You may be tempted to change it early because it will look pretty nasty, but keep going until it tells you to change it. To check, you turn the unit on high which causes it to perform a self-check.

The FAP02 is not small either, and the closer to the center of the room, the better it's supposed to work. Mine sits alongside a wall, and the wall will get dusty. Considering that this is supposed to be for small rooms, finding a place to put it may be hard, and if you want it to not be seen, I wish you good luck.

In conclusion, I'm glad I bought this device, but I'm also glad I didn't pay more than I did. It does a good job filtering dust particles and cat hair, but consider the ongoing cost of replacement filters. The size of the unit can make placement in small rooms difficult and it's not necessarily an attractive device, so if you're style-conscious or don't like "gadgets" cluttering your room, you might not like this.

I took off 1.5 stars for suggested price and cost of ownership and a half star for noise and size.

I have been using the Airwick plug in products for years now and love them. They are easy to use and I find refills almost anywhere. I had not tried this scent yet and bought a twin pack at the big W store. It never occurred to me to look on amazon for them. The scent is very pleasant, just like Apples and Cinnamon - like an apple pie. It reminds a little of the Harvest Spice fragrance, but that one is more spice and pumpkin. Both are wonderful, especially around the holidays and fall. I have noticed that some of the new refills are in plastic bottles AND have a smaller amount of fragrance. Luckily, this one seemed the original amount and packaging.

I would definitely recommend trying this one.

Pros:Real HEPA air purifiers are expensive, and if you're on a budget this will do the job.If you have bad allergies, you need HEPA -- not "HEPA-like" or "90% HEPA" or other essentially false categorizations.(Those are just scummy ways for marketers to slap the word "HEPA" onto products to which it doesn't apply.)The Holmes HAP8615 is a real HEPA device at a low price.

It's small and versatile.You can place it up against the wall.You can stand it up or put it on its side.

Cons: As others have pointed out, this machine is loud.I have it on 3 out of 4 and it's making quite a racket.Even at 1 it's definitely audible; I wouldn't want to have this going while watching TV for example.It's also not a flat "white" noise.It sort of flutters, so rather than "fffffffffffffffffffffff" you get "fufffufuffffffuffufffffffufuf".

That being said, I'm running it in my office right now, and I'd much rather have some noise than be sneezing every five seconds (literally -- what a bad spring we've been having!)I guess it depends on what clean air is worth to you.

Actually, I take back what I said about white noise.It's doing a nice job of blotting out background noises, and I can concentrate.

The unit was shipped to me directly from the manufacturer in a sturdy box. It is light enough for me to carry from room to room. The noise level is loud at the highest setting but I have no problem falling asleep or watching TV when set at the slowest speed.

I have been using this air purifier for a little over a month now. No complain. I have allergies but not the indoor type. It has something to do with polluted outdoor air. Therefore, I always keeps windows and doors close which leads to a stuffy house. Operating the central A/C or heat will take care of the stale air but expensive. The HealthMate takes care of this problem for me. Although I still have my allergy, at least I have fresh air at a low operating cost.

I did experience a small problem when ordering the unit from Healthy Air and Water Products. I ordered the "Plus" but received the the one without +. The vendor did take care of my complain immediately. He offered me an exchange with no charge. I settled for a credit back on the differences between the two models. Great, no hassle and I don't mind buying from them again.

This filter was advertised as able to fit several Winix air cleaners. Unfortunately, it did not fit mine (model wac 5000). Rather than send it back I managed to trim and "shoehorn" it into my existing filter holder.It seems to be
functioning well and the quality of the filter is good, but I only gave it three stars as warning to anyone ordering,
to be sure and triple check model numbers. Winix makes a number of Hepa air cleaners, and I heard that Electrolux
is now making the Plasmawave units with identical design.I do not know if the Electrolux filters are interchangeable
but I suspect not.Wouldn't it be great if manufacturers could reach agreement on a group of standardized sizes
so that customers would not have to constantly research the tangled web of filter replacement???

I own two of these air filters and I love them.These air filters do an excellent job of cleaning the air in relatively short order and I keep these air filters in the bedrooms for clean air sleeping.I recently moved into a older house that has dirty HVAC ducting and while I am slowly cleaning those ducts out I needed a temporary fix.Additionally, I own a dog that sheds a lot and I have a child with severe allergies.Additionally, I am also an allergy sufferer (mold and cats). After doing extensive research on air filters, I decided to go with this Honeywell 50100 HEPA filter.There are a couple of reasons for decision.1) The overall cost of this filter is the lowest (unit + replacement filters) I found at the time.I bought the unit for around $80. The average HEPA filter replacement is around $20. 2) The second reason I bought this unit is that I like noise.This is not one of those whisper quiet HEPA filters and that is OK by me. I am a big fan of white noise (after all I have two kids that like to get up early and make noise).This unit on its lowest setting is fairly quiet.However, the medium setting is loud and the high setting sounds like a jet passing overhead.Most of the time I have the unit set on medium. This is loud enough to drown out the garbage man picking up trash at 4 am.I have been happy with Honeywell products in the past and this is no exception.I also own a larger Honeywell HEPA filter that uses the same filter type as these units so I buy them in bulk.These filters also use a prefilter that goes around the outside of the HEPA filter.Using this filter extends the life of the HEPA filter tremendously.I vacuum the prefilter every couple of months or so.I recommend this filter to anyone who appreciates a well made decently priced HEPA filtration unit and doesn't mind a bit of noise.

Ever since Air Wick came out with the Lavender & Chamomile scent, the smell is something I have been using throughout my home and my car. I also found this comination in Laundry Liquid & Fabric softner.

I very 1st got the warmer with the fan (the one w/o the fan didn't work near as good), the sweet comination of the lavender & chamomile are PERFECT! They are both herbal and I have to say the scent is so very relaxing and makes the home smell better than anything I've ever tried.

When I wash the laundry, our clothes not only smell good, but when I wash the sheets, the wonderful & relaxing smell just melts your worries away and I sleep like a baby!

The two herbs couldn't be any better than any I've tried. I love walking into the house after a hard days work to such an aroumatic warming & relating sensation.

I've also gotten the wall one that you can set the spray timer on, as well as the mini one for the restroom. I always buy extra since this particular blend seems to sell so fast at the stores where we live.

I don't know what it is about the comination of these two together, but it actually helps if I have a stopped up nose too! Then I can really smell it better. To me, it's Heavenly Scent and I won't use any other.

I've also tried the Lavender & Vanilla combo. It's good for the smell too, but overall, to me, the Lavender & Chamolmile are the BEST combo ever made! I hope they never stop making it!!! As long as it's selling somewhere, I'll definately be getting it!
I always get raves about how good the house smells. My husband and I are both smokers, and it seems to eliminate the smoke smell as well, especially since my next door neighbor is a non-smoker and hates being around the smell of smoke.
I'll say it again and again, there is something about this combo that works wonders in more ways than one or two! It's The Best!!!
Now I just wish I put this combo in a tree and grow it in our yard:)

I got this item for my dog who has breathing difficulties. We were relocating from Florida to Arizona. I was worried for him. I chose this purifier as I thought it had the most features, or the most ways to clean the air. It did not seem to do much. His breathing improved in areas with fresher air and got worse in areas of closer air (LA and TX). I really don't feel it did much.

The Blueair company is a wonderful company to work with and helped settle my issues. I ordered 2 of the 501 units with replacement filters sight unseen based on user reviews. This is a very quality built unit, but the speed settings on the fan are far from usable. The lower speeds barely move enough air, yet the high speed is so noisy that you will think a tornado is in the room with you. The company gladly exchanged my 2 501 units with the 400 series units. The 401 units are far quieter and way more efficient in the way in which it moves the air, so order the 401, you can't go wrong. Keep in mind the 10 year warranty is only applicable if you can prove that you purchased and changed the filters every six months, if not no warranty exists, and the filters are not free, but affordable.In my opinion the 401 is the way to go, stay clear of the 501's due to the noise and air flow design, the Blueair company is second to none in customer support and are highly recommended. Thanks Blueair for helping me get it right....This is one heck of a company that will take care of it's customers. Also keep in mind when you order a Blueair purifier unit, one filter set will come included with the applicable unit that you order. If you order filters, they will be used later for replacements, I wasn't sure when I ordered if the filters were included but they were.

I bought this on the recommendation of my Doctor of Oriental Medicine, who owns one herself. She thought the wood smoke particulates in my home were bothering my respiratory system and she was right. This unit makes the air feel and smell fresh and clean and within a couple of days I was breathing better and had less respiratory issues bothering me. Well worth it. And small enough that I can move it from room to room easily (and I am 64). Highly recommended. It also came with a free filter, an additional $49 value, which I thought was fabulous.

These little things do a great job of keeping bacteria, etc from growing in my humidifier. I have been using my humidifier daily for 8 months, and these have really cut down on the number of times that I have to clean the tank. I usually buy them at my retail giant store for much less, but they don't seem to carry them during the summer. I was willing to pay a little more this time just because I've gotten used to the convenience.

Piece of junk. Simply wastes electricity and is noisy on "high". Cabinet made of cheap plastic that "attracts" dirt to the outside, so it needs frequent cleaning. 2 Filters will cost as much as a new unit. For about $50 more, check out the green air machines on ebay. (No, I am not associated with them). Tossed this Multi-tech for a REAL air cleaner; the difference is phenominal. One green air freshens the whole house and keeps Grand-dads smoke to a minimum. AND, the filters are ALL washable.
